Ch 4: A Word from Pastor Dan

"Meaning can arise out of chaos." So easily said but yet so hard to understand. I actually really enjoyed this chapter. It sufficiently made a lot of sense out of life. I think what it is mainly saying is that there are SO many opportunities in the world we live in today. It is what we do with those opportunities that defines who we are. I think most of us believe that there is some higher being in this world and it is the many wonders that this being gave us that question our existence. As Paul said "all creation is on a journey from meaninglessness to meaning". This life is truly our journey to discover ourselves, using all the resources we have been provided.

Pertaining to the final question in the reading, I think we can discover uses of science that will benefit all by taking others into consideration. We were given this "chaos" to create differences. Everyone is different. If we take our variation into account we can create things that can benefit certain people. I definitely agree that "the best is yet to come". Our technology is growing so quickly that much more can be done. It is another opportunity that we are given to improve this world of "chaos". A world that we were given so generously.
