Chapter 15

I like this article because of how it showed how truly complicated it is to get the many things that we totally take for granted. And how everything is so interconnected that the biggest changes can be traced back to the smallest events. How according to the article the smallest ripples can lead to the tipping point, or breaking point, of society or our world as a whole.I also found it interesting to think about his point of how ideas change. How at the time the idea was totally accepted and the norm, but now that things are different the thought of those older ideas is totally inconceivable, like how we cannot think of slavery as anything but horrible, it was completely normal back in the day. It was wild to read about how quickly the world would go down hill, but I agree with his consensus of what would happen if technology collapsed. I think he's right in saying that without energy the world would fall into chaos and that we need to put as much time and energy as possible into solving the renewable energy problem.
